You're really pushing it. I don't yet have the ability to block certain users from certain subforums, but I CAN delete your posts in this topic, & remove other privileges if you don't cut this bullshit out. Consider this the Official Warning stage.

Now instead of petty squabbling how about only reserving discourse for when it's potentially beneficial as opposed to vain attempts at pretending we tolerate one another like we spent the last twelve to thirteen years?

I'd actually just noticed that I was up in 3D, due to the fact that the board didn't deem fit to alert me to new posts, something which you could've resolved a long time ago by not giving me the silent treatment like a fucking teenage girl.

But even if I had been intentionally not posting, calling that "hypocrisy" is pretty rich considering I wanted to quit a long time ago, & your response was to pull out of everything & threaten to delete your account, at which point I was essentially peer pressured into staying in order to not fuck up everything, an incentive which seems to be dwindling away with alarming rapidity.

At this point, you're frankly going to have to explain to me why I should stay in 3D, because I've more than held up my end of the bargain, & you seem to think that quitting abruptly with no warning is something nobody should mind. You could threaten to quit KH, but at this point I'm not convinced that isn't an inevitability that I should just accept on my own terms.

That said, I have no problem if you desire to quit, just as I'd tolerated it in SU, but I'm definitely planning on implementing a system in the future so that people don't just quit abruptly in order to fuck things over.

What I WILL NOT tolerate is ignoring messages pertinent to keeping the RPs running smoothly. If you're not posting, I need to know why. If I say there's something that needs addressed, don't keep jabbering about politics like you didn't hear me.

An update for those not privy to private MSN conversations, I will not quit 3D abruptly, though I make no promise that I won't quit with advanced notice.

I'm not entirely sure what 3D is, but there was something I wanted to say in reply to the comment about Wikipedia. I wasn't talking about flat out vandalism like the example with Enver Hoxha so much as I meant taking an obscure topic like that and writing from a certain bias in it. It wouldn't be checked as vigorously for a neutral point of view.

Saying Hoxha is the Patron Saint of Albania could be vandalism or it could be severe bias.

There really is no way to be neutral on a topic as any interest or opposition you have to the topic will influence how you view it either through your reading on the topic or contributing to it.

Sir Robin wrote:One of my biggest problems with Wikipedia has nothing to do with the barefaced lies of many pages or the vandalism that creeps up now and then. It's when a really well-written and sourced page on a very specific obscure topic shows a strong bias that you wouldn't know about unless you had intimate knowledge of the subject matter and understood why sources it cites aren't the best. I've seen this in archaeology-based topics often, especially when they cite impressive looking journal articles that wouldn't hold up under scrutiny.

I agree with this. Sometimes I'll go to Wikipedia and see what they have to say about something I'm well versed in. It's disappointing to see that sometimes there's very little effort made to keep the article objective.

Pulse, Beat, Rhythm, Cry: Orlando and the queer and trans necropolitics of loss and mourning

I especially like the image at the start of the article. Because an act of solidarity being presented on a symbol of oppression isn't contradictory at all.

The author referring to prostitutes as sex workers, I could do without, but not everyone has a Marxist view on prostitution. And that's terrible.

On Critique of Identity Politics (and the inability to read)

In regards to the writer's third point, if there's anything to keep the working classing from radicalizing it's the divisiveness among them and the left. The lumpenprole may never attain class consciousness while other groups on the left such as socdems generally lack class consciousness as well as focus too little on economic issues and too much on social issues when both must be addressed.

What to Do With White People?

Idealism is a big part of Marxism regardless of what anyone may think. From what I've seen among Communist groups, even the bulk of them are aware that revolution of any kind is just unlikely to happen in their lifetime while the more cynical are doubtful at the idea of revolution in general, but this guy is just depressing.

Like goddamn, if this were a religious text, it'd cause someone to have a crisis of faith.

Edward Said Recalls His Depressing Meeting With Sartre, de Beauvoir & Foucault (1979)

A meeting with French philosophers, two of which worked with the French Resistance, one of which was imprisoned in a Nazi labor camp, and Foucault who led a depressing life without Nazis being depressing? Shocking.

At least that was my impression before reading the article. In reality, it was far more depressing.

SPUSA Platform

When US voters are too reactionary to even know the Socialist Party USA even exists and too illiterate to actually read the platforms of the candidates they endorse which is especially prominent among the lumpenproletariat who somehow see Gary Johnson as a viable candidate when he's arguably more of a neoliberal than Clinton.

'They Made It Worse': Michigan Sues 2 Companies Over Flint Crisis

It's not that we fucked up, it's that some people are sensitive to water. But we'll add this compound to it and make things worse.

Trudeau: Gender Inequality and Extreme Poverty Are Indisputably Linked

Trudeau goes on to say. “As a feminist, I know that women must be treated equally everywhere. That is why, as one of my first actions as Prime Minister, I named a gender balanced Cabinet. It is my hope that this will set an example for governments around the world.”

Now watch as I simultaneously import Saudi oil while sending weapons to the Middle East and then take part in a pride parade.

Seven Myths About the USSR

In regards to the first point, most people actually want to return to the Soviet model which is mentioned in the forth and fifth points.

Capitalism vs. communism on the streets of Cleveland

Intervention from the police and college liberals going "Muh smartphones!" It's almost like the two groups were trying to reenact the comment section of any YouTube video.

Anti-debt crusader Rand Paul has $301,108 in unpaid presidential campaign bills

It's not real debt, it's crony debt.

How Democrats learned to love identity politics

Vox almost having something with their critique of the Democrats bringing in people of color for the sake of appearing progressive and then proceeding to shit the bed at the end by stating the Democrats should indeed carry on doing that.

How socialists are seizing the memes of production

The most important article ever written. Just kidding, this is awful. Like what the hell is "alt-left?" The people who frequent such pages like Bro, We Are Communist, Problem? and De-Classcucking Memes for Commie Proles (not mentioned, but the Dindu Nuffin image originated from there) are full-blown leftists be it socialist, communist, or anarchists of sort.

The writer is apparently unaware that Anarchists for Bernie Sanders is all kinds of ironic while Lettuce Dog is incredibly leftist.

Political Correctness: Handle with Care

Essentially, one shouldn't let the sex or race of another impair their critique of them which is essentially how Obama can be the Reagan of this generation as the material conditions they are responding to are similar, but it's wrong to criticize him.

I feel the author could've toned down their "I'm not racist or nativist!" antics during the bit about bourgeois Chinese students. I get they gotta drive the point home that their disdain for these individuals is about their lack of class consciousness rather being Chinese, it just comes off as really irritating.

French Cops Claim They’re Too Tired To Keep Policing Massive Protests

"Instead of showing solidarity for the French workers, we're going to resume our role as state attack dogs once we're all rested up, so please stop being rightfully upset with your government for a bit?"

Why America Is Moving Left

From the opening statement beneath the title about how Obama has brought about a liberal era, all I can say is W E W and it just keeps going. My favorite part is how excessive regulation stamped out growth which Reagan did away with on top of reducing taxes and instead of encouraging growth, the exact opposite happened.

Much like how libertarianism was co-opted by the right, the author here seems to think liberalism is going to be co-opted by the left, but given the reluctance of liberals to actually engage in actions that historically the left has partaken in, that is unlikely to happen as liberals would rather try to meet their opposition in the middle.

The views held by the parties in regards to the current justice system and how they oppose the views of the parties nearly twenty years ago is hardly a sign of the US moving to the left as all it really is is just saying what people want to hear. It's essentially how Trudeau got elected as he just said he'd not do what Harper did over the last ten years and well...he's doing what Harper did over the last ten years. No one's calling for the abolishment of race, no one's working on ending private prisons, no one's calling for a reform for the police.

Crazier yet is the bit about millennials both advocating for larger government and preferring socialism to capitalism. My guess is like the frequent references to Sanders as a socialist, this is a prime example of Americans not knowing what socialism is.

On the plus side, the ever widening gap in income inequality could spark an actual leftist movement.

White People Explain Why They Feel They Oppressed

For a shorter version, just look at the comments of any video or article pertaining to the Black Lives Matter movement and boy howdy will you see all kinds of white people crying about racism towards whites, maybe even blaming Obama for ruining race relations, as well as general asshattery that shows a lack of self-awareness.

Or just read the comments on the article and make the same poor choice that I did.

I have no idea why that is acting like any of those findings are groundbreaking, & a lot of the interpretations are questionable.

A layperson might think that all animals can be described in terms of promiscuous males & chaste females, but biologists know that there are a lot of factors influencing the promiscuity of animals. Also, "less promiscuous" is a relative term, it doesn't mean that the females literally never seek out other partners.

Disruptive selection resulting in animals of the same sex having vastly different morphologies & behaviors is also well known, but I don't know why they're calling this "gender," that's awfully presumptive, since it implies a lot of social & personal identity that we don't know if those animals even have. The paper cited doesn't even use the term, I Ctrl+F'd that shit.

Nor am I sure what point they're even trying to make as far as homosexual behavior in animals goes.

Preserving My Children’s Innocence Is An Act Of Preserving White Supremacy

I don't know how to feel about this.

The Time is Now: To Defeat Both Trump and Clintonian Neoliberalism

Not too sure how relevant the lot of this is given Clinton's current health although I have no idea how such a thing works. I reckon if she dies or is medically unfit to run, the VP candidate takes her place. I don't know.

Of course that doesn't negate her brand of neoliberalism. Even in death, Reagan's acts still remain in full effect to this day.

Essentially a Trump presidency is more preferable to a Clinton presidency as one can organize and resist the actions of those that would endanger marginalized groups as opposed to legislation not to mention it'd be a very very uphill battle considering how much both Clintons have done to dump on the poor and working class.

“Conscious Capitalism” Icon Whole Foods Exploits Prison Labor

Certainly not recent, but forever funny while achieving new levels of exploitation and not at all shocking as a previous article I posted was all about how laissez faire beliefs go hand in hand with science denial.

U.S. Drone Pilot Explains What It's Like When You Realize You Just Killed A Kid

Also not a recent article, but a brief look into the mindset of a drone pilot and what the title speaks of. Doesn't exactly end well for the pilot at least at the time the article was written which goes to show how expendable the military is in the US despite all the troop supporting rhetoric.

The comments are complete garbage as expected.

Clinton is almost certainly fine, people get sick & they recover, tides go out & come back in. Clinton isn't President yet, so her Vice President choice has no right to succeed her at anything, it would be up to the Democratic Party to decide whom they want to replace her with, which would probably be her Vice President choice anyway. Who else would they go with?

Did Mao Really Kill Millions in the Great Leap Forward?

Figured I'd dig this article out one of these days on account of some liberalism in need of combating.

Much like accusations against Stalin because "muh Holodomor," figures relating to deaths of those involved vary from source to source, those who have a reason to make Mao look bad being even more skewed like asking Gorbachev what he thought of Stalin or Khrushchev who spent some time following Stalin's death essentially going around saying Stalin sucks and being a revisionist. Won the space race, so that's something. In the context of this article, it'd be asking Deng "Socialism with Chinese characteristics" Xiaoping what he he thought of Mao.

And while Mao dipped into revisionism later in his life by opening relations with the US (Hoxha then denounced China as revisionist), Deng is why China is how it is to this day.

Probably my favorite part is how another author's work regarding the "massive death toll" features citations from exiles that somehow managed to smuggle official documents out of China. Documents that include cannibalism and are somehow treated as authentic when they amount to "This guy I know knows a guy who..."

Which doesn't get to the laugh riot of a later part of the article about a writer who wrote how in 1958-59 many children under ten died due to famine then in 1960-61, millions of children over ten died while zero children under ten died apparently unaware of how paradoxical that is and it only gets worse when people of other age groups and sexes are brought in.

While there were deaths from The Great Leap Forward, much like collectivization in Russia, human error which Mao had acknowledged was not the major cause and the bulk of the statistics pertaining to that time came decades after from those who have every reason to discredit Mao in order to establish political power and Deng's regime was known for requiring all information to be passed through the state for approval before being made public. While other came from writers working in CIA funded publications.

I found something I need to talk about:
Apparently it's hard to get into a relationship in Sweden

One of the things said in the BBC article:
“You’d think it would have become much more common for Swedes to form a family with a foreign-born citizen, thanks to freedom of movement and increased immigration,” he added.
Gee, I wonder why. Maybe because of this:
The murder, was allegedly committed by her father, Rahmi Sahendal, as an "honour killing" because of her relationship with a Swedish man.
Full article

How Sweden became an exporter of jihad
Then there is this article that needs to be mentioned. But at least it mentions reasons and asks a good question in the end. But it will never be a question for Sweden because anything that implies any form of criticism of immigrants/refugees - no matter how much it's based on facts - are racist and nazi, which for some reason are synonyms in Sweden, no idea why. Unless it means "Sweden has failed" because it's all right and OK to blame Sweden for everything, that's cool. It's never the immigrants/refugees fault, it's the Swedish society's fault. And Sweden's. And the Swedish. Maybe Sweden should change name, because isn't it really racist and nazi to call it Sweden for all our immigrants/refugees?

Trump's tax plan: massive cuts for the 1% will usher 'era of dynastic wealth'

Comrade who initially shared the article wrote:"low- and middle-income people who turned out in large numbers to help the real estate billionaire win the election."

This outright incorrect and is a narrative that wont die.

1) Turnout was significantly lower than the previous 3 elections, continuing the downward trend from the 2004 peak, and possibly reversing the trend of increased turnout that has defined presidential election participation since the VRA.

2) The majority of the people who voted for Trump were in the middle to high income bracket.

3) Low- and middle-income people were the largest group to abstain from voting - which was not the case in 2012 and in particular 2008.

4) Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by a significant margin. The structural effect of the electoral college was more significant than income brackets - in other words geography over income. That said this is secondary to turnout - Michigan in particular had severe lack of turnout in areas that likely would have voted for the Democrats.

While it is true that it has been the case that often Republicans have gotten into office because white working class voters voting against their interest, this was not the case in this election.

No, this election was lost to Trump because the Democrats stole the primary from Bernie Sanders to put a candidate that couldn't make the turnout needed to beat Trump. And did so because the leadership of the Democrats couldn't abide even by the mild popular reforms he proposed. They actually preferred to risk Trump than risk Sanders.

Never forget this: Jonathan Chait said liberals needed to support Trump. Class solidarity of the rich and powerful what was put Trump in power, not low- and middle-income people voting against their interests.

I mean, just keep in mind this tax cut will directly benefit the Clintons too. Given the choice of a Sanders regime or that of their former friend Trump, there is no surprise we are being asked by them to give Trump a chance.

The reality is that low- and middle-income people actually voted with their interests: they didn't vote at all.

Not being in the US, how he plans on taxing the American people does not affect me personally, but how about the rest of you?

Disappointed, but not surprised. Canada has its own history of white supremacy and in recent times, the Ku Klux Klan has been spotted in British Columbia attempting to recruit. Shit, my own town was once the place to be for the Klan.

What Was the Nerd?

Interesting article which certainly painted a whole new image of the eighties films I watched in my teens, it certainly does show a wholly different portrayal of the alt-right than that I'm certain we've generally viewed them as.

We probably won't stop viewing them as angry white kids with waifu pillows, but the article gives a better view as to why they're angry with an interesting analysis of pop culture from the last couple of decades of the twentieth century.

Not sure if I'd empathize with them as there are literally better ways of expressing your frustration than calling for an American Reich.

Justin Trudeau greeted by heckles and jeers at youth labour forum

Trudeau demonstrates he doesn't understand why young workers are dissatisfied with the current system. Gets offended when they demonstrate their frustration.

What Cuba Can Teach Us About Food and Climate Change

I think I might have already shared this article or perhaps it was a different one pertaining to Cuba.

Germany probes Mark Zuckerberg over Facebook's 'failure to remove Nazi-themed content'

Didn't probe hard enough. Hell, several pages advocated that users report Zuckerberg's profile and eventually a statement was released that they'd overhaul their report system. Too bad trash pages advocating nazism and other forms of hate speech still exist.

Workers and youth largely absent at Clinton rally in Detroit

Dated article, but at the present time provides insight over the failures of the Democrats regarding their treatment of the working class as Clinton did more to speak of her record and the 'accomplishments' of the Obama Administration.

Pakistan: Workers strike as shipyard death toll rises

Meanwhile in Pakistan, those trying to earn a living as susceptible to die in fires and explosions due to a gross lack of safe work conditions.

PissPigGranddad Is Coming Home From Syria

Modern day hero of the left who went to Syria to fight with the YPG is returning home in one piece. Assuming he doesn't get arrested at the airport.

An article about white supremacists infiltrating the police that I'm looking to come back to for various general information reasons.
